Be Brave: My First Store Appearance
Hello Hello,
In my previous blog post, I said that I finally got brave! So here is my story... (by the way as I have been told by my friend, I am not so good at the storytelling :) but hey I will give it a try!
Every time I would see a cute card at a boutique store, I would immediately think of how wonderful it would be to have my own line of products sitting on the shelf at a store. Well, after a long time of thinking and wondering how it would happen, I started to sketch and paint some card ideas, and slowly but surely things started to piece together. I guess the secret ingredient is "to just go for it"!
One day while my hubby was shopping at Casseroles store in Virginia Highlands, he mentioned my store, byKsenia, to the owners and things just happened from there. I went to meet with the lovely crew at Casseroles, Hunter and Betsy, and fell in love with their store's ambiance and wonderful smell that was coming from the kitchen :) So now a few weeks later byKsenia paper products have found a spot at Casseroles. And guess what?! within the first 45 minutes I sold my first product. Yay!
Thank you Betsy and Hunter for being so sweet and for making my first experience so wonderful! A thank you also goes to my Dad for creating a table and shelf to house my cards.
To all of you who live close enough to Virginia Highlands, you should stop by Casseroles and get some casserole and don't forget a cobbler :)
A side from that, I have been working on numerous projects from logos to wedding collateral which I can't wait to share with you. Oh yeah, one more thing! byKsenia will be working on a new website that will have some wonderful photography.
Have a great Labor Day Weekend!
Talk to you soon,
- Ksenia
