A crafty weekend

Saturday was our Halloween craft day. After admiring all of the Halloween decor in my neighborhood, I was inspired to do something to our front door entry. I will admit it's nothing big and certainly can't be compared to what is happening in our neighborhood.

But the whole process was amazingly amusing to Daniil. He was so adorable at repeating what I was doing - trying to cut out bats, bringing his little chair out to hang them ... He is a walking sponge for sure absorbing all the little things that Todd and I do. Oh, and he was so adorable when he told me that he needs to check on his bats every day. I love that kid!

Materials: black craft paper, scissors, hole puncher, and natural cord.

Did you decorate your house for Halloween?

Thinking About Halloween

So I have decided that this year I will spend more time on my son's costume. Last year I found myself racing through 3 different stores literally a few hours before our trick or treating adventure. I was happy that I was able to get something that I liked since there were only 10 costumes combined in the 3 stores I visited.

Keep in mind my son will be 4 at the end of November. I have asked him what he wanted to be for Halloween and his reply was "Brownie!". Hmm "Anything else you want to be?" I asked. "Peanut Butter Sandwich!" he said. "Do you like any heroes?" I asked him. I think he mumbled Iron Man.

After our little conversation, I am stuck on what to do for his costume but I am certain that I would like to challenge my creativity. Any ideas?

Meanwhile I have been busy working on some new things for my online shop. I am happy to announce the arrival of this cute Halloween Invite which is now available at my shop.

I am actually excited about this year's Halloween, and can't wait to start decorating and stocking up on candy. Do you do anything special for Halloween?
